Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with God's people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which God’s people can live and grow into all that God intended.

Vision Statement BACK TO TOP
Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc., an ecumenical Christian ministry, will become a highly respected affordable housing provider in the Northern Illinois region because of the excellence and success of our community building efforts.

We celebrate our Christian ministry by providing opportunities for lower income families to earn homeownership. We will gain the confidence, trust, and support of the greater Rockford area because of our clear plan for the future, and excellent management of our most critical resources, namely volunteers, finances, material, and time.

Our family support structure will become the driving force of all our efforts, as we recognize this is the key to our success.

Global Building BACK TO TOP

Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc., tithe’s 10% of undesignated fund to overseas building in an effort to support our goal of eliminating poverty housing.

As of January of 2009, our affiliate has built 58 homes that were sold to qualified families in Gliwice, Poland.  For more information on Habitat’s global building, go to http://www.habitat.org/intl/ eca/162.aspx

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry, working in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.
